	Shehakol Niheyah

	By His Word G-d brings forth all


	For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things were created through Him and for Him. - Col 1:16


	In traditional (i.e., Rabbinical) Judaism, the Shehakol blessing is usually recited over meat, diary products, and drinks (other than wine), functioning as a general blessing that covers a variety of different food groups.


	The Messianic version provided here is not restricted to eating of foods, but instead identifies Yeshua as devar Elohim - the Word of God - the Instrumentality of G-d's creative power in the universe. The blessing ends with reference to the Name and Blood of Yeshua, who is the Mediator of the better covenant, based on better promises (Hebrews 8:6). The blessing is recited:


	Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the universe, Who brings about everything by His Word, Who creates all for His glory, Who always remembers His covenant, Whose power fills the Universe, In the Name and Blood of Jesus our Messiah: Amen.


	Barukh Attah Adonai Eloheinu Melekh ha'Olam, Shehakol Niheyah Bidvaro, Shehakol Bara Likhvodo, Shetamid Zokheir B'rito, Shekhocho Malei Ha'Olam, B'Shem u'VaDam Yeshua Meshicheinu. Amen.

The Messiah was named "Yeshua" since He came to save [Hebrew: yeshua'] His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). Yeshua did what the animal sacrifices only foreshadowed in the Torah but never finally accomplished (Hebrews 2:9, Revelation 5:9, Colossians 1:21-22, 2 Timothy 1:10, 1 Timothy 2:3-6; 1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 9:12-14a). As our Great High Priest after the order of Malki-Tzedek, Yeshua took our sins upon Himself, mysteriously becoming the Sin Bearer of humanity, and was crucified on our behalf so that blood atonement with a holy God would be forever accomplished.

Leviticus 17:11c

By means of His ultimate sacrifice, then, God reconciled the world to Himself in Messiah, not counting their sins against them (see Isaiah 53:5, 1 Corinthians 15:3, John 1:29, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 2 Corinthians 5:19).
